For the use of FO cables in installation ducts with rodent accessibility non-metallic armouring is insufficient. These outdoor cables have an additional metalic armouring with a corrugated steel tape and a second PE jacket which ensures high quality rodent protection.The primary-coated fibres run in a jelly-filled central bundle core. A surrounding layer of non-metallic glass-rovings serves as strain relief.
