The DMX5N3CYD cable drum with balanced, tightly stranded wire pairs is an interference-resistant DMX cable drum with precisely defined transmission characteristics, in which all 5 pins of the XLR are wired. Thus, one DMX 5-pin or two DMX 3-pin signals can be transmitted via one cable. With an adapter, the two DMX 3-pin signals can be split again as desired. Low capacitance and the precisely defined characteristic impedance of 110 ohms enable the transmission of DMX signals even over very long distances. The solid construction with a jacket of resilient special PVC and a shield of tinned copper braiding including AL/PET foil ensures smooth performance and perfect EMC values. The 5-pin XLR connectors by Neutrik are also equipped with protective caps.
