Composite cables have become increasingly popular as a way of simplifying cable handling. Only one cable is needed, saving both time and money in installation. Offering the capability of transmitting both a video signal (e.g. digital SDI, analogue composite) and two audio channels, the CV1/D2 AV is the ideal choice of camera cable. With wave impedance of 110 Ohm, both audio lines are optimized for digital signals in compliance with AES/EBU specifications. Thanks to their low capacitance, they are ideal for analogue audio channels but can also be used for control signals. They feature ultra-low signal attenuation thanks to their strand cross-section of 0.22 mm². The cables are shielded by AL paired foil screens with drain wires. The flexible inner core of the video conductor is insulated by a physically foamed PE dielectric medium ensuring reflection-free and extremely low-attenuation signal transmission. A double shield (AL dual-composite foil and extra-densely braided copper) protects the cable from electromagnetic interference. The necessary flexibility is ensured by the sophisticated core twisting and soft PVC jacket of the cable.
